The philosophy of authenticity, simplicity and natural design.

This was a rare and challenging opportunity to design the interior of a cluster of stone houses on the island of sailors Meganisi just across the famous Scorpios island owned by Onassis.Our clients both from abroad fell instantly in love with this island and bought a piece of haven at the edge of a cliff overlooking the green seas.Both artists and eclectic they wanted to respect nature and the original environment both on the exterior and the interior.The architects selected natural stone, concrete and clay plaster to add texture and soften the inspired minimalist design that corresponds to the aesthetics and life philosophy of the owners.Round stone houses were designed and built scattered around the footprint of the site which is filled with ancient olive trees by respecting the natural environment.We were called to design a common language of this Mediterranean space for serenity and relaxation.As space was limited and in a particular circular shape, space and storage had to be thought out and designed in a functional, discreet and ethereal manner.We designed commissioned based simple wooden beds which incorporated secret drawers for storage by leaving the space to breathe and added a touch of nature inspired by the olive trees by creating a carved brunch pole.
